Understanding attitudes, knowledge and experiences of mental health professionals treating autistic youth

The study aims to assess the understanding and experience of mental health professionals in treating mental health conditions in autistic youth.

An online survey consists of questions about  attitudes towards, experience, and knowledge of autism.

 

Responses have been informing the creation of a specialised training program that aims to assist mental health professionals in modifying their practices to better support autistic people. 

Recruitment

To be eligible, participants must:

  • Be a mental health care professional providing mental health assessment and treatment services to young autistic people (aged between 15 and 30).

  • Have access to the internet
